(Best Syndication News) Toyota has halted sales of 8 models of their vehicles (see list below). The automaker says the action was necessary until the problem with the gas pedal is remedied. The announcement stunned many dealerships.
Initially Toyota claimed the floor mats caused the pedals to stick to the floor. But since then there have been cases where the floor mats have been removed and the pedal still malfunctioned. The problem may not lie in the pedal per se, but in the injection system. Either way, the company has suspended sales of some of their best selling cars.
